Keep Calm and Carry On Canada.

Since July 2009, this Canadian Keep Calm and Carry On campagin has had a major affect on the attitudes of the recipients of the T shirts, pins and posters not only for themselves, but for the people around them as well.

Here are just some of the responses we have recieved. I can hardly wait to get your story.

Hey, isn't that the Kicking Horse ski resort in Golden B.C. across the valley?

Congratulations Grant,   I wore my shirt to a Remembrance Day Service and had a few people make comments, all good. Is there any available? I would also like to commend you folks at Metro Media, I know you are in marketing but this campaign and the others you take up are in the true spirit of making people aware.

Good on you all.

Brian

Good Morning valued Where Calgary advertisers!

Having the opportunity to speak with many business owners over the past month I have learned that there are a number of opinions on what should be expected in the upcoming year. Some believe the worst is far from over in Calgary, some are confident that Calgary will rise to the “new normal” early next year, and others, somewhat like myself in the middle, feel that “it’s” not over, but we can not expect a boom any time soon either. Earlier this year, I met Grant Kelba, from Metromedia at Roger’s Chomp & Stomp 2009, an event dedicated to raising funds for the Kid’s Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta, in our conversations he said, “Keep Calm and Carry On”. A phrase that has probably been heard a lot lately, a phrase that should be lived by going into next year no matter the outcome.

Hi, we love both of the shirts you sent thank you very much! My hubby looks for that shirt for work because it helps him when he wants to blow a nut... and his boss now wants one too!! Great shirt, great promo, great mantra and again, thank you!!    Tanya

A buddy of mine (Mike) at Nortel got the shirt.  "How appropriate" I thought considering the state of affairs at Nortel, in addition to the (perceived?) doom and gloom of the economy.

Cheers!
Robert

Hi Grant,
I recieved my shirts and have had a great response so far. People really like the look of the shirts and they are impacted by the saying. It does seem to have a positive impact and I'm surprised by how many strangers comment. I always refer them your site and I hope that this will help grow your business. I think this is a brilliant way to get your name/business ideas out there!
All the best,
Annette

Hi Grant.  Thanks for getting in touch with me.  When we first received your tshirt here at work, the saying just caught my attention, since we were going through some transition periods here, and I was not handling it too well.  I thought back to your logo, and it truly helped keep me calm throughout a rough time, so thank you.  You can ship the shirt to my company at the address below.  Thanks again and take care.   Dimple.

Good Morning Grant,
I just got back from a vacation and received my "Keep Calm and Carry On" package! - Thank you!
I think it is a wonderful initiative that you have started!
Hopefully it encourages more people to stay positive and keep their heads up!
Thanks Grant!

Hello Grant!

I learned about yuor site from the url on the bottom of one of these shirts being worn by someone at "A Taste of Edmonton", a culinary festival here in town. I had read about the original poster some time ago, from Britain, and liked the sentiment. It is an excellent example of calm and sensible thought during a time when many seem to want to dash their brains out against the nearest brick wall. Thanks again!

 Hi Grant,

It's always fun to find out how folks get your message. I saw a post of yours on twitter - likely with a #yyc hashtag as I follow that sometimes. I think it had the t-shirt thumbnail on it. I re-tweeted when I ordered mine, but haven't seen any response to that on twitter.

I posted your link to a closed yahoogroups message board and my buddy Dawn ordered some (she's received hers too). When I received mine this week I posted a link to facebook and fellow Calgary Roadrunner Jenny thought it was very cool - she ordered 2.

Most of my fb and real life friends are still clueless on twitter. They have no idea what to do with my blog. They're getting better with facebook.

Are you also offering free T's to Americans, or is this strictly a Canadian campaign? I might blog it, if you like. I don't have a ton of followers, but several are Americans, so if it's not available to them I would mention that. Karen

Hi there,

A friend of mine sent me the link to your site so I checked it out.  I think it’s a great idea - such a genuinely nice gesture with no strings attached?  Unheard of!

If sending it to my work is best for you then please do.  The address is below.

Thanks for what you’re doing!
Erin

From July to November in 2009 I sent out over 1000 free T shirts.

The T shirt campagin consisted of me not only sending a free T shirt for yourself, but also sending you a second "T" shirt for you to give to someone who you think needs it the most.

It's your way of "Paying it Forward".

The responses I recieved back were tremendous. Thank you to those who took the time to send me a note to thank me for the shirts. And if you could send me a picture of your shirt in front of some unique place, I would love to publish it here.

You can get this slogan on any number of other items and truely demonstrate your possitive attitude. If you believe that this is something that should be shared many times over and in many different ways, then contact Amy Davids at Metromedia Marketing and she will be certain to help.

Keep Calm merchandise is appearing everywhere. Well after I made it my personal mantra!
